It's been really longgggggg since i updated my blog...Many things have changed for me!

~ I'm getting married next year!
~ I'm taking over the NYP ministry leadership!
~ I'm joining drama ministry in church!

Candy flew to Japan today at 2130. She is going for a long long time... Really miss her. =( She is such as dear sister to me. She is one of the closer gal with me during my NSTD training. We can talk abt anything under the sun and i really feel comfortable with her...What i love most about Candy is her geninue love and care for people. I remember when we stayed together in gc, she will be always asking us if we want food! "Do you want milo?" She wld ask me each time when she is making a cup of milo for herself ! haa... Yes and now, she is away for such a long time... really miss her beautiful smile and cheerfulness.

Yesterday , i went for my....ANNUAL EXCERCISE (other than my shopping trips) !!! haa..i followed mimi to exercise..WOW, for a very very long time, i ran 2.4 km on a treadmill! i quite proud of myself... i did not ran very fast, but i did not give up until 25 mins later...i wanna to stop at 15mins...but i said to myself, " 5 more mins..5 more mins....haa... " I could feel a battle in my mind !

hmm..WAY TO GO i must keep exercising to stay fit!!!

Mooncake festival Outreach

We had a mooncake festival outreach on 19th Sept. This was a "Movement everywhere" project. A bunch of chinese gals invited their non-christian friends and organise the program for them. I am really proud of the 2 freshman chinese gals, Xiaoling and Lijun who lead different parts of the program. Xiaoling led the worship songs and games, while Lijun boldly shared her testimony...The response of the gals were quite open, they even love the worship songs..though we did not present the gospel to them, we wanted to show them God's love and our care for them...And i think we did!

Hmm..its kind of scary that meta is coming..i don't even dare to count the days..haa..though i m not teaching, i felt still stressed..ai..cos my role needs "rehearsals" and "tan-chang-biao-xian" (sorri my hanyu pin quite bad")..haa...anyway, i kind of scared that i wld not be able to perform my best...very nervous how everything will turn out! haa..guess it is a faith step for me..Recently, i have also been feeling quite weary in my soul, the kind of feeling of "stuck-ness" ...I dunnoe how to describe it, but i feel kind of tired. Dunnoe is it cos i m too distracted in ministry or over-worked or stressed... (A sign is that i m now looking for ways to relieve my stress. e.g. shopping and pa-tok! ) Aiyoh, dunnoe what happened..but i think i really need a spirit of perservance.CHRISTINE, DUN GIVE UP! ESP WHEN THE TOUGH GETS TOUGHER! (yup, i m talking to myself) haa...

Back to Singapore for almost 1.5 months, but i have not really got time to write my blog..Coming back from States is really an experience for me..Some things seemed to have changed even... (i dunnoe for better or worse) Anyway, look at the mounatins, are'nt they majestic and beautiful?

Hi to all who miss me (haa)

I am having a great time in Fort Collins, Colorado. I thank God for the break i can have.. More than that, I thank God for broadening my personal and ministry vision here... One phrase that i always hear speakers say thru-out the conference is " Movement everywhere!" It is so exciting to hear stories and testimonties of U.S , Mexico movements. I am really excited and motivated..cos i know that movements everywhere in SINGAPORE is possible too!

And today, the stadium (that our conference is held) is packed wih more than few thousands of pple..ALL OF THEM are Campus Crusade staff... It was an awesome sight! Hmm..will share more what i learnt when u come back...

Yup..really also miss my disciples and minstry in S'pore! Ha...And waana to give a pat of encouragement to my dearest co-labouers..Mr and Mrs Xiong...Zhihui and Yiwei..thanks so much for guarding the fort and laboring while I am away.. PRESS ON!

Ai..this week was long and packed...Oops...And recently, I have been easily annoyed and frustrated by things and people...probably due to tiredness and lack of focus on God...But still NO EXCUSE..Sorry, God =( ... Ai..I feel that my energy is "running low" now...I am looking fwd for the 3 weeks break next week..to CSU (Colorado) !!! I want to be refreshed and have funnnn.... So exciting... Looking fwd to fellowshipping and learning from others and of course, from GOD!

My fears were answered...3 of my team members will be posted to another campus ministry. And the team of 5 has now shrunk to 3. When I heard the news, I cannot really accept it. At the moment, i felt angry and fearful at the same time.... OH NO, what is going to happen? How are we going to cope ? And there is a shortage of leaders in the ministry...which means that the staff have to carry a heavier responsibilty.

During the night, I still was struggling to accept the news...I felt really helpless. Then, I read the bible...

Jesus Calms the Storm (Matthew 8)

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"
He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

I felt that I have asked Him, " Lord, save us. We are going to die in ministry! "And Jesus' reply to me was "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" I realised I was afraid of the "future" of ministry and I had little faith in God. I needed to remember my Lord is more than able to calm the storms in my life ...

Now, I am still struggling with surrendering the issue to God ( but I felt much better now). I think I "shen bu de" 2 of my female co-labouers..So I am quite sad that they are leaving... =( Nevertheless, I thank God for speaking to me, in my times of struggles....=0 CHRISTINE, PRESS ON!

Missions is the heartbeat of God!

During the last few days, I went for a Missions Conference, called GoForth...Initially I was really reluctant to go due to tiredness, but thank God I still went. And God confronted me about many issues in my heart... I think one of the most crucial lessons that God showed me is the urgency of the harvest and the lostness of people in the world. MISSIONS IS AT THE HEARTBEAT OF GOD! I felt really burdened for the unreached countries and people as we interceded for them during the prayer time in the conference.

I also realised that many a times, I gave in to the excuse of busyness and ministry, that I do not actively witness for Christ... PEOPLE ARE LOST WITHOUT CHRIST! I repented and decided to tell anyone I can about Jesus....At the end of the conference, I asked God to help me live the Christian life by His supernatural power. I thank God that the next morning as I was taking the lift, I met a neighbour who lived on the same storey. Though I have never seen her before, I walked out of my comfort zone and talked to her. I was able to strike a spiritual conversation with her.

God reminded me of my calling..To know Him and make Him known!
